Were the stimulus checks mailed out yet

The stimulus checks, also known as Economic Impact Payments (EIPs), were mailed out in several waves starting in April 2020. The IRS has been sending out the checks to eligible individuals and families who filed their tax returns and provided direct deposit information.

As of March 2023, the IRS has sent out all the stimulus checks that were authorized under the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) and the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021.

However, it's possible that some people may still receive their stimulus checks in the mail, as the IRS continues to process and send out payments for those who:

  1. Filed their tax returns late or amended their returns.
  2. Provided incorrect or incomplete banking information.
  3. Are eligible for a stimulus check but didn't receive one initially.

If you're still waiting for your stimulus check, you can:

  1. Check the IRS's "Get My Payment" tool on their website to see if your payment has been sent and when it will arrive.
  2. Contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to inquire about the status of your payment.
  3. Check your bank account or mailbox regularly, as the IRS may have sent your payment via direct deposit or mail.

Remember to keep an eye on your mail and bank accounts, as the IRS may send additional stimulus checks or other forms of economic relief in the future.
