What will happen to aol mail

AOL Mail!

In 2015, AOL announced that it would be discontinuing its email service, AOL Mail, and transitioning users to Yahoo Mail. At the time, AOL Mail had around 2 million active users.

However, in 2020, Verizon Media (the parent company of Yahoo) announced that it would be shutting down Yahoo Mail Classic, which was the version of Yahoo Mail that was previously used by AOL Mail users. This meant that AOL Mail users would no longer be able to access their accounts using the classic Yahoo Mail interface.

Instead, AOL Mail users were migrated to the newer Yahoo Mail interface, which is a more modern and feature-rich email service. This migration was completed in 2020, and AOL Mail users now have access to the same features and functionality as Yahoo Mail users.

So, what does this mean for AOL Mail users?

It's worth noting that while AOL Mail is no longer a separate service, the AOL brand is still alive and well, and is used by Verizon Media to offer a range of online services, including AOL News, AOL Finance, and AOL Entertainment.
