When is the royal mail going on strike
The Royal Mail, the UK's postal service, has been in dispute with the Communication Workers Union (CWU) over pay, jobs, and conditions. The union has been balloting its members on strike action, and on February 4, 2022, the CWU announced that the majority of its members had voted in favor of strike action.
The Royal Mail has since announced that it will be taking strike action on the following dates:
- Thursday, February 9, 2023
- Friday, February 10, 2023
- Monday, February 13, 2023
- Tuesday, February 14, 2023
- Wednesday, February 15, 2023
- Thursday, February 16, 2023
- Friday, February 17, 2023
The strike action is expected to affect mail delivery services across the UK, with the Royal Mail warning that it may not be able to deliver all mail and parcels on these days. The strike is expected to cause disruptions to the postal service, and customers are advised to check the Royal Mail website for updates on delivery times and any changes to their services.
It's worth noting that the Royal Mail has also announced that it will be taking on temporary staff to help with the increased workload during the strike, and that it will be prioritizing the delivery of essential items such as medicines and food parcels.
