When will the stimulus paper checks be mailed out

The stimulus paper checks, also known as Economic Impact Payments (EIPs), were mailed out in several waves starting in April 2020. The IRS has completed mailing out the majority of the checks, but some may still be processed and mailed out in the coming weeks.

Here are some key dates to keep in mind:

• April 2020: The IRS began mailing out the first wave of EIPs to eligible taxpayers who filed their 2018 or 2019 tax returns and did not file for an extension.
• May 2020: The IRS continued mailing out EIPs to eligible taxpayers who filed their 2018 or 2019 tax returns and did not file for an extension.
• June 2020: The IRS began mailing out EIPs to eligible taxpayers who filed for an extension on their 2018 or 2019 tax returns.
• July 2020: The IRS continued mailing out EIPs to eligible taxpayers who filed for an extension on their 2018 or 2019 tax returns.
• August 2020: The IRS completed mailing out the majority of EIPs to eligible taxpayers who filed their 2018 or 2019 tax returns.

If you have not received your EIP yet, you can check the status of your payment on the IRS website using the "Get My Payment" tool. You can also contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 if you have questions or concerns about your payment.

It's worth noting that the IRS has also been mailing out EIPs to eligible taxpayers who did not file a tax return, such as Social Security recipients, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients, and Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) recipients. These payments were mailed out in May and June 2020.
