Where is my sent messages file in mail
The location of the "Sent Messages" file in Mail (the email client on Mac) can vary depending on the version of macOS and Mail you're using. Here are the common locations:
For macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later:
- The Sent Messages folder is stored in the
~/Library/Mail/V2/Sent Messages
directory. You can access this folder by going to the Finder, pressingCmd + Shift + G
to open the Go to Folder dialog, and typing in the path above.
For macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier:
- The Sent Messages folder is stored in the
~/Library/Mail/Sent Messages
directory. You can access this folder by going to the Finder, pressingCmd + Shift + G
to open the Go to Folder dialog, and typing in the path above.
For Mail on iCloud:
- If you use iCloud to store your email data, your Sent Messages folder is stored online and can be accessed through the iCloud website or the Mail app on another device.
Note: If you're using a different email client or service, the location of your Sent Messages folder may be different.
