Where to find junk mail in gmail
The joys of junk mail!
In Gmail, you can find junk mail in the following places:
- Spam folder: Gmail's spam filter automatically moves suspected junk emails to the Spam folder. You can access the Spam folder by clicking on the "Spam" tab in the left-hand sidebar or by searching for "spam" in the search bar.
- Promotions tab: Gmail's tabbed inbox system separates promotional emails from personal emails. The Promotions tab is where you'll find newsletters, promotional offers, and other commercial emails that Gmail's algorithm considers to be less important.
- Social and Forums tab: This tab is where you'll find emails from social media platforms, online forums, and other online communities.
- Updates tab: This tab is where you'll find emails from online services, such as update notifications, password reset emails, and other automated messages.
- All Mail: If you want to see all emails, including junk mail, you can access the All Mail folder by clicking on the "All Mail" tab in the left-hand sidebar or by searching for "all mail" in the search bar.
To manage junk mail in Gmail:
- You can mark individual emails as spam by clicking on the "Report spam" button.
- You can also report a sender as spam by clicking on the "Report spam" button and selecting "Report this sender as spam".
- To block a sender, go to the sender's email address, click on the three vertical dots, and select "Block [sender's email address]".
- To report a sender as spam and block them, go to the sender's email address, click on the three vertical dots, and select "Report spam and block [sender's email address]".
Remember to regularly clean out your junk mail folders to keep your inbox organized and reduce clutter!
