Where to mail t4
The T4 slip!
In Canada, the T4 slip is a statement of employment income and deductions issued by your employer at the end of each year. Here's where to mail it:
For employers in Canada:
- If you're an employer in Canada, you can mail the T4 slips to your employees at their last known address. You can also provide them electronically, as long as you obtain their consent.
For employees:
- If you're an employee, you should receive your T4 slip from your employer by February 28th of each year. If you haven't received it by then, you can contact your employer to request a copy.
- If you're no longer employed by the company, you can contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to request a copy of your T4 slip.
Mailing address for CRA:
- If you need to mail your T4 slip to the CRA, you can send it to the following address:
- Canada Revenue Agency
- T4 Processing
- 1400-555 René-Lévesque Blvd. West
- Montréal, QC H3B 4N7
Electronic filing:
- You can also file your T4 slips electronically through the CRA's My Business Account or Represent a Client service. This is a secure and convenient way to submit your slips, and it helps reduce paper clutter.
Remember to keep a copy of your T4 slip for your records, as you may need it to file your tax return.
