For electronic returns (e-file):
- You can e-file your tax return through the CRA's website or through a tax preparation software provider. The CRA will process your return electronically, and you won't need to mail a paper copy.
Important:
- Make sure to use the correct mailing address for your province to ensure your return is processed quickly and accurately.
- Use a secure and trackable mailing method, such as Canada Post's Xpresspost or Priority Mail, to ensure your return is delivered to the CRA.
- Keep a copy of your return and supporting documents for your records.
Remember to file your tax return on or before the deadline, which is usually April 30th of each year. If you need more time to file, you can apply for a filing extension.
