Windows live email pop3 settings
Here are the POP3 settings for Windows Live Email:
Incoming Mail Server (POP3):
- Server name: pop.live.com
- Port: 110
- Username: Your Windows Live email address (e.g. [yourname]@live.com)
- Password: Your Windows Live email password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
- Server name: smtp.live.com
- Port: 587
- Username: Your Windows Live email address (e.g. [yourname]@live.com)
- Password: Your Windows Live email password
Additional Settings:
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing servers.
- Leave a copy on the server: You can choose to leave a copy of your emails on the server or delete them after downloading.
- Check for new messages: You can set the frequency at which your email client checks for new messages.
Note:
- Make sure to enable POP3 access in your Windows Live account settings. To do this, sign in to your Windows Live account, go to the "Account" settings, and click on "Manage account settings". Then, click on "More email settings" and select "POP3 settings". Make sure the "Enable POP3" option is checked.
- If you're using a third-party email client, you may need to configure the account settings manually. Consult your email client's documentation for instructions on how to do this.
