  2. Click on the "Tools" menu and select "Options".
  3. In the "Options" window, click on the "Junk E-mail" tab.

Spam Filter Settings:

  1. Level of protection: You can choose from three levels of protection:
    • Low: Fewer emails will be marked as spam, but some spam emails may still get through.
    • Medium (default): A balance between accuracy and protection. This is the recommended setting.
    • High: More emails will be marked as spam, but some legitimate emails may also be incorrectly marked as spam.
  2. Trust level: You can set the trust level for senders who are not in your contacts list:
    • Low: Emails from unknown senders will be marked as spam.
    • Medium: Emails from unknown senders will be marked as "Junk" and moved to the Junk E-mail folder.
    • High: Emails from unknown senders will be allowed to pass through.
  3. Sender filtering: You can add specific senders to the "Safe senders" list or the "Blocked senders" list:
    • Safe senders: Emails from these senders will always be allowed to pass through.
    • Blocked senders: Emails from these senders will always be marked as spam.
  4. Content filtering: You can set rules for specific words or phrases in the subject line or body of an email:
    • Add words or phrases to the "Safe words" list or the "Blocked words" list.
  5. Bayesian filtering: This is a statistical method that analyzes the content of emails to determine whether they are spam or not:
    • You can adjust the "Bayesian filtering" slider to balance accuracy and protection.
