Windows mail download message and pictures
A blast from the past!
Windows Mail is a legacy email client that was part of Windows Vista and Windows 7. While it's no longer supported by Microsoft, I can still help you with your question.
To download messages and pictures from Windows Mail, you can follow these steps:
Downloading messages:
- Open Windows Mail.
- Select the folder that contains the messages you want to download (e.g., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.).
- Right-click on the folder and select "Export" from the context menu.
- In the "Export" window, select "EML" as the file format and choose a location to save the files.
- Click "Export" to start the download process.
Downloading pictures:
- Open Windows Mail.
- Select the message that contains the pictures you want to download.
- Right-click on the message and select "Save As" from the context menu.
- In the "Save As" window, select a location to save the pictures and choose a file format (e.g., JPEG, PNG, etc.).
- Click "Save" to start the download process.
Alternatively, you can also use third-party tools to download messages and pictures from Windows Mail. Some popular options include:
- Windows Live Mail Converter: A free tool that can convert Windows Mail files to other formats, including EML and PDF.
- Mailbird: A third-party email client that can import Windows Mail files and allow you to download messages and pictures.
- EML Viewer: A free tool that can view and download EML files, including those from Windows Mail.
Keep in mind that Windows Mail is no longer supported by Microsoft, and it's recommended to use a more modern email client like Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.
