Worldlynx webmail aruba

A blast from the past!

WorldLynx was a popular web-based email service provided by Aruba, a Dutch telecommunications company. It was launched in the late 1990s and was widely used in the Netherlands and other European countries.

WorldLynx offered a range of features, including:

  1. Web-based email: Users could access their email accounts through a web browser, without the need for a dedicated email client.
  2. POP3 and IMAP support: Users could also access their email accounts using POP3 and IMAP protocols, allowing them to use third-party email clients.
  3. Address book: WorldLynx had a built-in address book that allowed users to store and manage their contacts.
  4. Calendar: Users could also use WorldLynx's calendar feature to schedule appointments and events.
  5. File storage: WorldLynx offered a limited amount of file storage space, allowing users to store and share files with others.

Aruba discontinued WorldLynx in 2012, and users were migrated to Aruba's new email service, Mailbox. However, WorldLynx remains a nostalgic reminder of the early days of web-based email and the rise of internet services in the Netherlands.
