Yahoo mail configure in outlook
To configure Yahoo Mail in Outlook, you'll need to follow these steps:
Method 1: Using IMAP
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
- Choose Internet Email and click Next.
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- In the Server Information section:
- Incoming mail server (IMAP): imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 993 (IMAP) and 587 (SMTP)
- Click More Settings and go to the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click OK to close the More Settings window.
- Click Next and then Finish to complete the setup.
Method 2: Using POP3
- Open Outlook and go to File > Add Account.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types and click Next.
- Choose Internet Email and click Next.
- Enter your name, email address, and password.
- In the Server Information section:
- Incoming mail server (POP3): pop.mail.yahoo.com
- Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 110 (POP3) and 587 (SMTP)
- Click More Settings and go to the Outgoing Server tab.
- Check the box next to My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Click OK to close the More Settings window.
- Click Next and then Finish to complete the setup.
Additional Settings
- Make sure to enable SSL/TLS encryption for both IMAP and SMTP servers.
- You may need to configure your Yahoo Mail account to allow less secure apps to access your account. To do this, go to the Yahoo Mail settings page, click on Account Info, and then toggle the switch next to Allow apps to access your account.
