Yahoo whitelist email addresses

A blast from the past!

Yahoo! has a feature called "Whitelist" or "Safe Senders" that allows you to specify email addresses or domains that you trust and want to receive emails from. This can help prevent spam emails from being filtered out of your inbox.

Here's how to add email addresses to Yahoo!'s whitelist:

Method 1: Using the Yahoo! Mail settings

  1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select "More settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on "Filters" from the left-hand menu.
  5. Click on "Add a filter" at the top of the page.
  6. Enter the email address or domain you want to whitelist in the "From" field.
  7. Select "Allow" from the dropdown menu next to "Move to folder".
  8. Click "Save" to save the filter.

Method 2: Using the Yahoo! Mail address book

  1. Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" tab at the top of the page.
  3. Click on "New contact" to create a new contact.
  4. Enter the email address or domain you want to whitelist in the "Email" field.
  5. Click "Save" to save the contact.
  6. Go back to your inbox and click on the gear icon () in the top right corner of the page.
  7. Select "More settings" from the dropdown menu.
  8. Click on "Filters" from the left-hand menu.
  9. Click on "Add a filter" at the top of the page.
  10. Select "Allow" from the dropdown menu next to "Move to folder".
  11. Click "Save" to save the filter.

Once you've added an email address or domain to your whitelist, Yahoo! will consider emails from those addresses as trusted and less likely to be filtered out of your inbox.

Note that you can also add entire domains to your whitelist, which can be useful if you receive emails from a specific company or organization that you trust.
