A blast from the past!
AOL (America Online) and CompuServe were two of the earliest and most popular online services in the United States. Here's a brief look back at their homepages:
AOL (America Online)
AOL was launched in 1985 and became one of the most widely used online services in the 1990s. Its homepage was a simple, text-based interface that allowed users to access various online services, including email, chat rooms, and online content.
Here's what the AOL homepage looked like in the late 1990s:

The center of the page features a rotating banner with various online content, such as news headlines and featured articles.]
CompuServe
CompuServe was launched in 1969 and was one of the first commercial online services. Its homepage was also text-based and offered a range of online services, including email, chat rooms, and online content.
Here's what the CompuServe homepage looked like in the late 1990s:

Both AOL and CompuServe were popular online services in the 1990s, but they eventually lost ground to newer, more modern online services like Yahoo!, Google, and Facebook. Today, AOL is a subsidiary of Verizon, and CompuServe is no longer an active online service.
