Apple mail attachments folder
The Apple Mail attachments folder!
In Apple Mail, attachments are stored in a special folder called "Attachments" or "Downloads" (depending on the version of macOS you're using). Here's where you can find it:
macOS High Sierra (10.13) and later:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar.
- Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "General" tab.
- Look for the "Attachments" folder location. It's usually set to "Downloads" by default.
macOS Sierra (10.12) and earlier:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar.
- Select "Preferences" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "General" tab.
- Look for the "Attachments" folder location. It's usually set to a folder called "Attachments" in your user library.
Finding the Attachments folder:
- Open the Finder.
- Go to your user library (usually located at
~/Library
). - Look for a folder called "Attachments" or "Downloads".
- Open the folder to view your attachments.
Tips:
- You can also find attachments by searching for them in Spotlight (⌘ + Space).
- If you're having trouble finding attachments, try checking the "Downloads" folder in your user library.
- You can also set a custom location for attachments by going to Mail > Preferences > General and selecting a different folder.
I hope that helps!
