Apple mail change account password

To change the password for an email account in Apple Mail on a Mac, follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen and select "Preferences".
  3. Click on the "Accounts" tab.
  4. Select the email account you want to change the password for from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
  5. Click on the "Edit" button next to the account name.
  6. Click on the "Password" tab.

  8. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.

Note: If you're using two-factor authentication (2FA) with your email account, you may need to enter a verification code sent to your phone or another device in addition to your new password.

It's also important to note that changing the password for an email account in Apple Mail will not automatically update the password for other devices or applications that use the same email account. You may need to update the password separately on those devices or applications.
