Apple mail how to delete addresses from pop up

To delete addresses from the "To" field in the Apple Mail compose window, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open Apple Mail and start composing a new email.
  2. In the "To" field, click on the address you want to delete.
  3. Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard. This will remove the selected address from the "To" field.
  4. If you want to delete multiple addresses, you can select them by holding down the "Command" key (⌘) while clicking on each address.
  5. Once you've selected the addresses you want to delete, press the "Delete" key to remove them from the "To" field.

Alternatively, you can also use the "Edit" menu to delete addresses from the "To" field:

  1. Open Apple Mail and start composing a new email.
  2. In the "To" field, select the address you want to delete.
  3. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Delete" (or press the "Delete" key on your keyboard).
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the address by clicking "Delete" in the pop-up dialog box.

Note that if you're using a contact group (also known as a distribution list) in the "To" field, deleting the group will not delete the individual contacts within the group. Instead, you'll need to delete the contact group itself from your Contacts app.
