Apple mail set up alias
To set up an alias in Apple Mail on a Mac, follow these steps:
- Open Apple Mail and go to the "Mail" menu.
- Select "Preferences" from the drop-down menu.
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Select the account you want to set up the alias for from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
- Click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Send Mail As" section.
- Click on the "Add" button next to "Send Mail As".
- Enter the alias email address you want to use in the "Email Address" field.
- Enter the name you want to use for the alias in the "Full Name" field.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Alternatively, you can also set up an alias in Apple Mail by following these steps:
- Open Apple Mail and go to the "File" menu.
- Select "New Mailbox" from the drop-down menu.
- Enter the alias email address you want to use in the "Name" field.
- Enter the name you want to use for the alias in the "Location" field.
- Click "Create" to create the new mailbox.
- Right-click on the new mailbox and select "Get Info" from the context menu.
- In the "Get Info" window, click on the "Advanced" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Send Mail As" section.
- Click on the "Add" button next to "Send Mail As".
- Enter the alias email address you want to use in the "Email Address" field.
- Enter the name you want to use for the alias in the "Full Name" field.
- Click "OK" to save the changes.
Once you have set up the alias, you can use it to send emails from Apple Mail. To do this, simply compose a new email and enter the alias email address in the "From" field.
