Bbc shares royal mail

I think there may be some confusion here!

The BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) is a public service broadcaster that is funded by a licence fee paid by UK households that own a television set or receive live television broadcasts. The BBC is not a shareholder in Royal Mail, which is a separate company that operates as a public limited company (PLC).

Royal Mail is a postal service and courier company that is listed on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index. The company is owned by its shareholders, who can buy and sell shares on the stock market.

In 2013, Royal Mail was privatized, and the UK government sold a majority stake in the company to the public through an initial public offering (IPO). The government retained a minority stake in the company, but the majority of the shares are now held by institutional investors, individual investors, and the public.

So, to summarize, the BBC does not own or share in Royal Mail. They are two separate entities with different purposes and ownership structures.
