Bc and cc in mail

In email, bc and cc are abbreviations for two important fields in the email header:

  1. Bcc (Blind Carbon Copy): When you add an email address to the Bcc field, the recipient's email address is not visible to other recipients. This is useful when you want to send an email to multiple people, but you don't want them to know who else is receiving the email. The Bcc field is often used for mass emails, newsletters, or when you want to keep the recipient list private.
  2. Cc (Carbon Copy): When you add an email address to the Cc field, the recipient's email address is visible to all other recipients. This is useful when you want to keep others informed about the email, but you don't want them to be the primary recipient. The Cc field is often used for emails that require input or feedback from multiple people.

Here's an example of how these fields might look in an email header:

From: John Doe <[email protected]> To: Jane Smith <[email protected]> Cc: Bob Johnson <[email protected]>, Sarah Lee <[email protected]> Bcc: [email protected], [email protected]
