Title: 'I'm 65 and I've never had a proper Christmas. Can I still have one now?'

Article:

As I sit here, surrounded by the festive chaos of Christmas, I'm struck by a sudden pang of regret. I'm 65 years old, and I've never had a 'proper' Christmas. No, I don't mean that I've never had a tree or presents or a turkey dinner. I mean that I've never had that magical, idyllic, Norman Rockwell-esque Christmas that so many people seem to take for granted.

Growing up, my family was always a bit...unconventional. My parents were hippies, and we spent most of our holidays camping in the woods or traveling to far-flung places. I never had a traditional Christmas dinner, or a Christmas tree, or even a Christmas card. And as I grew older, I began to feel like I was missing out on something fundamental to the human experience.

But as I look around at the chaos and joy of this Christmas season, I'm struck by the realization that it's never too late to have a 'proper' Christmas. And so, I've decided to take matters into my own hands. I've booked a festive holiday cottage, complete with a roaring fire and a Christmas tree, and I'm planning a traditional Christmas dinner with all the trimmings.

I know it's a bit late in the day, but I'm determined to make this Christmas one to remember. And who knows? Maybe I'll even start a new tradition. After all, as the saying goes, 'better late than never'!
