Bigpond mail settings for outlook
Here are the BigPond Mail settings for Outlook:
Incoming Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.bigpond.com
- Port: 110 (POP3) or 995 (SSL/TLS)
Outgoing Mail Server:
- Server name: mail.bigpond.com
- Port: 25 (SMTP) or 587 (TLS)
Username and Password:
- Username: Your BigPond email address (e.g. [yourname]@bigpond.com)
- Password: Your BigPond email password
Additional Settings:
- Authentication: Use the same username and password for both incoming and outgoing servers
- SSL/TLS: Enable SSL/TLS encryption for both incoming and outgoing servers
- Authentication method: Use the "Log on using" option and select "Normal password"
Outlook 2010 and later:
- Go to File > Account Settings > Account > More Settings > Advanced
- Enter the above settings and click "OK"
Outlook 2007:
- Go to Tools > Account Settings > Email > More Settings > Advanced
- Enter the above settings and click "OK"
Outlook Express:
- Go to Tools > Accounts > Properties > Advanced
- Enter the above settings and click "OK"
Note: If you're using a BigPond email account with a custom domain (e.g. @yourdomain.com), you may need to use a different incoming and outgoing server. Contact BigPond support for more information.
