Buffalo.edu email services

The University at Buffalo (UB) offers various email services to its students, faculty, and staff. Here are some of the email services provided by UB:

  1. UBmail: UBmail is the official email service provided by the university to its students, faculty, and staff. It is a Microsoft Exchange-based email system that offers features such as calendar, contacts, and tasks.
  2. Office 365: UB provides Office 365 to its students, faculty, and staff, which includes email, calendar, contacts, and storage. Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of productivity applications that includes Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
  3. UB Google Apps: UB also provides Google Apps for Education to its students, faculty, and staff. Google Apps includes Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides.
  4. Email Forwarding: UB allows students, faculty, and staff to forward their UBmail email to an external email address, such as Gmail or Yahoo.
  5. Email Retention: UB retains email messages for a period of 30 days after a student graduates or leaves the university. This means that students can access their email messages for 30 days after they graduate or leave the university.

To access UB's email services, students, faculty, and staff can follow these steps:

  1. Go to the UB website and click on the "MyUB" tab.
  2. Log in with your UB credentials (username and password).
  3. Click on the "Email" tab to access your UBmail account.
  4. You can also access your Office 365 account by clicking on the "Office 365" tab.
  5. To access your UB Google Apps account, click on the "Google Apps" tab.
