In Windows Mail (which is the email client that comes with Windows Vista), you can change your password by following these steps:

  1. Open Windows Mail by clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Windows Mail".
  2. Click on the "Accounts" button in the top left corner of the window.
  3. Select the account for which you want to change the password.
  4. Click on the "Properties" button.
  5. In the "Account Properties" window, click on the "Security" tab.
  6. Click on the "Change" button next to "Password".
  7. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
  8. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Alternatively, you can also change your password by following these steps:

  1. Open the Control Panel by clicking on the Start menu and selecting "Control Panel".
  2. Click on "User Accounts" and then click on "Manage another account".
  3. Select the account for which you want to change the password.
  4. Click on the "Change password" button.
  5. Enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password.
  6. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Note that if you're using a Microsoft account (formerly known as a Windows Live ID), you'll need to change your password through the Microsoft account website or the Windows Live Mail client, rather than through Windows Mail.
