Can i receive protonmail.me mail at protonmail.com
By default, ProtonMail does not allow you to receive emails at a different domain than the one you signed up with. For example, if you signed up with a protonmail.com address, you can only receive emails at that address.
However, there is a workaround to receive emails at a different domain, such as protonmail.me. You can create a custom domain alias in your ProtonMail account settings.
Here's how to do it:
- Log in to your ProtonMail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner and select "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Custom Domain" section.
- Click on the "Add custom domain" button.
- Enter the domain you want to use as an alias (e.g., protonmail.me) and click "Add".
- ProtonMail will verify the domain ownership. You may need to add a TXT record to your domain's DNS settings.
- Once the domain is verified, you can set up the alias by clicking on the "Set up alias" button next to the domain.
- Choose the email address you want to use as the alias (e.g., [email protected]) and click "Save".
After setting up the custom domain alias, you should be able to receive emails sent to your custom domain (e.g., [email protected]) in your ProtonMail inbox.
Note that this feature is only available for ProtonMail Plus and ProtonMail Visionary users. If you're on a free plan, you won't be able to set up custom domain aliases.
