Cc mails are getting refreshed to the top in gmail

Frustrating!

When your Gmail inbox is refreshing to the top, it's usually due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Auto-refresh: Gmail has an auto-refresh feature that periodically updates your inbox to show new emails. This can be triggered by various factors, such as:
    • New emails arriving in your inbox.
    • You've scrolled to the bottom of your inbox.
    • You've opened a new tab or window.
    • You've used the "Mark all as read" or "Mark all as unread" feature.
  2. Browser or extension issue: Sometimes, browser extensions or add-ons can interfere with Gmail's functionality, causing the inbox to refresh to the top. Try disabling any recently installed extensions or add-ons to see if it resolves the issue.
  3. Gmail settings: Check your Gmail settings to ensure that the "Auto-refresh" feature is not enabled. To do this:
    • Log in to your Gmail account.
    • Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner.
    • Select "See all settings."
    • Scroll down to the "General" tab.
    • Look for the "Auto-refresh" option and toggle it off.
  4. Cache or cookie issue: Clearing your browser's cache and cookies can resolve the issue. Try:
    • Pressing Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac) to open the browser's cache and cookie settings.
    • Clearing the cache and cookies for Gmail.
  5. Gmail Labs: If you're using Gmail Labs, some experiments might be causing the issue. Try disabling any recently enabled Labs features to see if it resolves the problem.

To prevent the inbox from refreshing to the top, you can try:

  1. Use the "Stay on page" feature: When you scroll to the bottom of your inbox, click on the "Stay on page" button (looks like a little icon) to prevent the page from refreshing.
  2. Use the "Pin" feature: You can pin important emails or conversations to the top of your inbox by clicking on the pin icon (). This will keep them at the top of your inbox, even when you refresh the page.

If none of these solutions work, feel free to provide more details about your issue, and I'll do my best to help you troubleshoot!
