Chuckawalla Valley State Prison (CVSP) is a maximum-security prison located in Blythe, California. Here are the mail rules for CVSP:
Incoming Mail:
- All incoming mail must be addressed to the inmate's name and CDCR number.

Outgoing Mail:

- Inmates are limited to sending 10 pages of outgoing mail per week.

Search and Inspection:
- All incoming and outgoing mail is subject to search and inspection by prison staff.
- Mail that is deemed to be contraband or otherwise prohibited will be confiscated and may result in disciplinary action against the inmate.
Special Mail:
- Inmates are allowed to receive special mail, such as:
- Legal mail (e.g. court documents, lawyer correspondence, etc.)
- Medical mail (e.g. prescription medication, medical test results, etc.)
- Educational mail (e.g. books, educational materials, etc.)
- Special mail must be sent to the prison's address and must be marked "Special Mail" on the envelope.
