Here's a step-by-step guide on how to connect Feedly to ProtonMail:
Prerequisites:
- You have a ProtonMail account.
- You have a Feedly account.
- You have a ProtonMail email address (e.g., [yourname]@protonmail.com).
Step 1: Enable IMAP in ProtonMail
- Log in to your ProtonMail account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner and select "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Security" section and toggle the "IMAP" switch to the "On" position.
- Note down the IMAP settings:
- Server: imap.protonmail.com
- Port: 993
- Username: Your ProtonMail email address (e.g., [yourname]@protonmail.com)
- Password: Your ProtonMail password
Step 2: Connect Feedly to ProtonMail
- Log in to your Feedly account.
- Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner and select "Settings".
- Scroll down to the "Integrations" section and click on "Email".
- Click on "Add an email account" and select "IMAP" as the protocol.
- Enter the IMAP settings you noted down earlier:
- Server: imap.protonmail.com
- Port: 993
- Username: Your ProtonMail email address (e.g., [yourname]@protonmail.com)
- Password: Your ProtonMail password
- Click "Save" to save the settings.
Step 3: Verify the connection
- Go back to your Feedly account and click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
- Select "Settings" and then "Integrations" again.
- Click on "Email" and then "Verify" next to your ProtonMail account.
- If everything is set up correctly, you should see a success message.
Step 4: Set up your ProtonMail email address in Feedly
- Go back to your Feedly account and click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
- Select "Settings" and then "Notifications".
- Click on "Add a notification" and select "Email".
- Enter your ProtonMail email address (e.g., [yourname]@protonmail.com) and click "Save".
That's it! You should now be able to receive notifications from Feedly in your ProtonMail inbox.
