Delete searches from gmail
To delete search history from Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete search history from the Gmail search bar
- Sign in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
- Click on the three vertical dots next to the search bar.
- Select "Search history" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Clear search history" to delete all search queries.
Method 2: Delete search history from the Google Account settings
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Click on the "Data & personalization" tab.
- Scroll down to the "Activity controls" section.
- Click on "Web & App Activity".
- Toggle off the switch next to "Include Chrome browsing history and activity from websites and apps that use Google services".
- Click on "Pause" to stop collecting activity data.
- Click on "Clear activity" to delete all activity data, including search history.
Method 3: Delete search history using the Google Takeout tool
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Go to the Google Takeout page.
- Select "Deselect all" to uncheck all the options.
- Scroll down to the "Search history" section and check the box next to it.
- Click on "Next" and then "Create export".
- Choose a file format (e.g., CSV) and click on "Create export".
- Once the export is complete, you can delete the search history data by clicking on the "Delete" button next to the export file.
Note: Deleting search history will remove all search queries from your Gmail account, but it will not delete any emails or other data.
