Dial direct to voicemail
The classic "dial direct to voicemail" trick!
To dial direct to voicemail, you can try the following:
- Dial the phone number, but instead of waiting for the person to answer, press the "#" key (also known as the "pound" key) immediately after dialing the number.
- Alternatively, you can try pressing the "*" key (also known as the "star" key) followed by the "#" key.
This should bypass the ringing and take you directly to the voicemail system. Keep in mind that this method may not work for all phone numbers or voicemail systems, and it's always a good idea to check with the recipient's phone company or voicemail provider to see if they support this feature.
Here's an example of how you might do this:
- Dial the phone number: 555-1234
- Press the "#" key immediately after dialing: 555-1234#
- Alternatively, press the "" key followed by the "#" key: 555-1234#
If you're successful, you should be taken directly to the voicemail system, where you can leave a message for the recipient.
