Do starred mails transfer over thunderbir

When you transfer emails from one email account to another using Thunderbird, the starred status of the emails is not automatically transferred. However, there are a few ways to achieve this:

  1. Use the "Import" feature: When you import emails from one account to another using Thunderbird's built-in import feature, you can choose to import the email flags, including starred emails. To do this:
    • Go to "File" > "Import" > "Mail"
    • Select the email account you want to import from
    • Choose the "Import all messages" option
    • In the "Import Options" window, select the "Flags" checkbox
    • Click "Finish" to start the import process
  2. Use a third-party add-on: There are several add-ons available for Thunderbird that can help you transfer starred emails, such as:
    • "Email Transfer" (by Mozilla): This add-on allows you to transfer emails, including flags, between accounts.
    • "Mail Synchronizer" (by Synchronizer): This add-on can synchronize emails, including flags, between multiple accounts.
  3. Manually mark emails as starred: If you don't want to use an add-on or the import feature, you can manually mark emails as starred in the new account. You can do this by selecting the emails you want to mark as starred and then using the "Mark as Starred" option in the "Message" menu or by using a keyboard shortcut (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+ on Windows or Command+Shift+ on Mac).

Keep in mind that when you transfer emails, the starred status may not be preserved if the emails are moved to a different folder or if the email client's settings are changed.
