Does priority mail get delivered on holidays

According to the United States Postal Service (USPS), Priority Mail and other mail services are not delivered on the following federal holidays:

  1. New Year's Day (January 1st)
  2. Martin Luther King Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
  3. Presidents' Day (third Monday in February)
  4. Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  5. Independence Day (July 4th)
  6. Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  7. Columbus Day (second Monday in October)
  8. Veterans Day (November 11th)
  9. Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
  10. Christmas Day (December 25th)

However, the USPS may still collect mail on these holidays, but it will not be delivered until the next business day.

Additionally, some Priority Mail services, such as Priority Mail Express, are available 365 days a year, including holidays. Priority Mail Express is a guaranteed overnight service that is available 24/7, including holidays.

It's always a good idea to check with your local post office or the USPS website for specific holiday hours and delivery schedules in your area.
