Does royal mail redirect work for parcels

Royal Mail's Redirect service is primarily designed for mail, such as letters and packages sent via 1st Class and 2nd Class post. However, they do offer a similar service for parcels, known as "Parcel Redirect".

Parcel Redirect allows you to redirect a parcel to a new address, even if it's already been sent. This service is available for parcels sent via Royal Mail's tracked services, including:

  1. Royal Mail Tracked 24
  2. Royal Mail Tracked 48
  3. Royal Mail International Tracked
  4. Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed

To use Parcel Redirect, you'll need to contact Royal Mail's customer service team and provide the following information:

  1. The original tracking number
  2. The new address you want the parcel to be redirected to
  3. Your name and contact details

Royal Mail will then attempt to redirect the parcel to the new address. Please note that there are some limitations and restrictions to this service:

It's also important to note that Parcel Redirect is not the same as re-routing a parcel that's already been delivered. If a parcel has already been delivered, you'll need to contact the sender or the recipient to arrange for the parcel to be returned or re-delivered.

I hope that helps!
