Forwarding emails to another account outlook
To forward emails from one Outlook account to another, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Forwarding emails using Outlook Web App
- Log in to your Outlook Web App account.
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "View all Outlook settings".
- Scroll down to the "Mail" section and click on "Forwarding".
- Select the "Forward my email to" option and enter the email address of the account you want to forward emails to.
- Choose the forwarding option you prefer:
- "Forward all incoming email" will forward all emails to the new account.
- "Forward email from people I know" will forward emails from contacts in your address book.
- "Forward email from people I don't know" will forward emails from unknown senders.
- Click "Save" to save your changes.
Method 2: Forwarding emails using Outlook Desktop Client
- Open your Outlook desktop client and go to the "File" menu.
- Select "Account Settings" and then click on "Account Settings" again.
- Select your email account and click on "Change".
- Click on the "More Settings" button.
- Go to the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Delivery" section.
- Check the box next to "Forward my email to" and enter the email address of the account you want to forward emails to.
- Choose the forwarding option you prefer:
- "Forward all incoming email" will forward all emails to the new account.
- "Forward email from people I know" will forward emails from contacts in your address book.
- "Forward email from people I don't know" will forward emails from unknown senders.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Method 3: Forwarding emails using Outlook Rules
- Open your Outlook desktop client and go to the "Home" tab.
- Click on the "Rules" button in the "Move" group.
- Click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
- Choose "Check messages when they arrive" and click "Next".
- Select "with specific words in the subject" or "from specific people" and specify the criteria for the emails you want to forward.
- Click "Next" and then "Finish".
- In the "Rules and Alerts" window, select the rule you just created and click "Edit".
- In the "Edit Rule" window, select "Forward it to the following" and enter the email address of the account you want to forward emails to.
- Click "OK" to save your changes.
Note: Make sure to test your forwarding settings to ensure that emails are being forwarded correctly to the new account.
