G mail archive
The Gmail archive!
In Gmail, archiving an email means moving it out of your inbox and into your "All Mail" label, but keeping it in your account. This is different from deleting an email, which permanently removes it from your account.
Here's how to archive an email in Gmail:
- Open the email you want to archive.
- Click on the "Archive" button in the top right corner of the email window. It looks like a box with a downward arrow.
- Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut "e" to archive the email.
When you archive an email, it will be moved to your "All Mail" label, which is a default label in Gmail that contains all your emails, including archived ones. You can still search for and find archived emails by using the search bar at the top of the Gmail window.
Archiving emails can be useful for several reasons:
- It keeps your inbox organized and clutter-free by removing emails that you don't need to take immediate action on.
- It allows you to keep emails that you don't need to respond to or take action on, but still want to keep for reference.
- It helps you to declutter your inbox and focus on more important emails.
Note that archiving an email does not delete it permanently. You can always unarchive an email by searching for it in your "All Mail" label and clicking on the "Unarchive" button.
