Gmail contacts list edit
To edit a contact list in Gmail, follow these steps:
Method 1: Edit a contact directly from the Gmail contacts list
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Contacts" link in the top navigation bar.
- Find the contact you want to edit in the list.
- Click on the contact's name to open their contact card.
- Click on the "Edit" button at the top right corner of the contact card.
- Make the necessary changes to the contact's information, such as updating their name, email address, phone number, or other details.
- Click "Save" to save the changes.
Method 2: Edit a contact from the Gmail compose window
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- Click on the "To" field and start typing the name of the contact you want to edit.
- As you type, Gmail will suggest contacts from your contacts list. Select the correct contact from the dropdown list.
- Click on the contact's name to open their contact card.
- Make the necessary changes to the contact's information, such as updating their name, email address, phone number, or other details.
- Click "Save" to save the changes.
Method 3: Edit a contact from the Google Contacts website
- Go to the Google Contacts website (contacts.google.com).
- Sign in with your Google account.
- Find the contact you want to edit in the list.
- Click on the contact's name to open their contact card.
- Click on the "Edit" button at the top right corner of the contact card.
- Make the necessary changes to the contact's information, such as updating their name, email address, phone number, or other details.
- Click "Save" to save the changes.
Note: The Google Contacts website is a separate platform from Gmail, but it's linked to your Gmail account. Any changes you make to a contact on the Google Contacts website will be reflected in your Gmail contacts list.
