Gmail uses the following ports for IMAP and SMTP:
IMAP (Incoming Mail Protocol)
- Port: 993 (SSL/TLS encrypted)
- Alternative port: 143 (unencrypted, but not recommended for security reasons)
SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)
- Port: 587 (TLS encrypted)
- Alternative port: 25 (unencrypted, but not recommended for security reasons)
Note:
- Gmail recommends using the SSL/TLS encrypted ports (993 and 587) for security reasons.
