Gmail imap/smtp port

Gmail uses the following ports for IMAP and SMTP:

IMAP (Incoming Mail Protocol)

• Port: 993 (SSL/TLS encrypted)
• Alternative port: 143 (unencrypted, but not recommended for security reasons)

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol)

• Port: 587 (TLS encrypted)
• Alternative port: 25 (unencrypted, but not recommended for security reasons)

Note:

• Gmail recommends using the SSL/TLS encrypted ports (993 and 587) for security reasons.
• If you're using a third-party email client or app, make sure to configure it to use the correct ports and encryption settings.

• SMTP:
  • Gmail SMTP settings: smtp.gmail.com (port 587, TLS encrypted)

Remember to replace imap.gmail.com and smtp.gmail.com with your actual Gmail account's IMAP and SMTP servers, respectively.
