In Gmail, you can customize the appearance of your inbox by using user styles, also known as CSS styles. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the Gmail Labs feature
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Scroll down to the "Labs" tab.
- Search for "Customize conversation view" and enable it.
- Click "Save Changes."
- Go back to your inbox and click on the gear icon again.
- Select "See all settings" and then click on the "Themes" tab.
- Click on the "Customize" button next to "Conversation view."
- In the "Conversation view" window, you can add your custom CSS styles using the "Add CSS" button.
Method 2: Using a browser extension
- Install a browser extension like Stylish (for Firefox) or Stylebot (for Chrome).
- Once installed, click on the extension's icon in your browser toolbar.
- Click on the "Write new style" button.
- In the "Style name" field, enter a name for your style (e.g., "My Custom Gmail Style").
- In the "Style code" field, enter your custom CSS styles.
- Click "Save" to save your style.
- Go back to your Gmail inbox and the changes should be applied.

Here are some examples of CSS styles you can use to customize your Gmail inbox:
- Change the background color:
body { background-color: #f2f2f2; }
- Change the font family:
body { font-family: Arial, sans-serif; }
- Change the font size:
body { font-size: 14px; }
- Add a custom header:

- Change the color of links:

Remember to replace #f2f2f2
with your desired background color, Arial
with your desired font family, and 14px
with your desired font size.
