Google inbox gmail account

Google Inbox was a free email service offered by Google that was designed to help users manage their email more efficiently. It was launched in 2014 and was available as a separate app from Gmail. However, in 2019, Google announced that it would be discontinuing Inbox and merging its features into the Gmail app.

Here are some key features of Google Inbox:

  1. Snooze: Inbox allowed users to "snooze" emails, which meant that they would be removed from the inbox and reappear at a later time. This feature was designed to help users manage their email more efficiently by allowing them to focus on important emails first.
  2. Bundles: Inbox grouped similar emails together into "bundles," such as emails from a specific sender or emails related to a specific topic. This feature helped users quickly scan and manage their email.
  3. Highlights: Inbox highlighted important information in emails, such as names, dates, and times, to help users quickly understand the content of an email.
  4. Quick Actions: Inbox allowed users to perform quick actions on emails, such as deleting, archiving, or marking as read, without having to open the email.
  5. Integrations: Inbox integrated with other Google services, such as Google Calendar and Google Drive, to help users manage their email and other tasks more efficiently.

If you had a Google Inbox account, you may have noticed that it was replaced with the Gmail app in 2019. However, you can still access your old Inbox emails and features by using the Gmail app and enabling the "Inbox by Gmail" feature.

To enable the "Inbox by Gmail" feature in the Gmail app:

  1. Open the Gmail app on your device.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap "Settings."
  4. Scroll down to the "General" section.
  5. Tap "Inbox by Gmail."
  6. Toggle the switch to the "On" position.

Once you've enabled the "Inbox by Gmail" feature, you'll be able to access your old Inbox emails and features, including snoozing, bundling, and quick actions.
