To block a sender in Gmail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Block a sender from a specific email

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Block a sender from the Gmail settings

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  5. Click on "Create a new filter" at the bottom of the page.
  6. Enter the sender's email address in the "From" field.
  7. Click on the "Create filter" button.
  8. Select "Block" as the action and click "Create" again.

Method 3: Block a sender from the email's reply button

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the "Reply" button.
  3. In the "To" field, enter a dot (.) before the sender's email address.
  4. Send the reply. This will block the sender from sending you emails.

Note: When you block a sender, you will no longer receive emails from that sender. However, if you want to unblock a sender, you can go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab in your Gmail settings and remove the block.

Additionally, you can also report spam emails to Gmail by clicking on the "Report spam" button at the top of the email. This will help Gmail's algorithms to improve their spam filtering and prevent similar emails from reaching your inbox in the future.
