Hardynet email header
A blast from the past!
Hardynet is a type of email header that was commonly used in the early days of the internet, particularly in the 1980s and 1990s. It was a simple, plain-text format used to send and receive email messages.
Here's an example of a Hardynet email header:
From: John Doe <[email protected]>
To: Jane Smith <[email protected]>
Subject: Test email
Date: Wed, 12 Jan 1994 14:30:00 +0000
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
As you can see, the header is very simple and consists of a few fields:
From
: The sender's email address.To
: The recipient's email address.Subject
: The subject line of the email.Date
: The date and time the email was sent.Message-ID
: A unique identifier for the email message.
Hardynet headers were used by early email clients and servers, such as Unix-based systems and early versions of Microsoft Outlook. They were eventually replaced by more advanced email formats, such as MIME (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions) and HTML (Hypertext Markup Language), which allowed for more complex and formatted email messages.
Today, Hardynet headers are mostly of historical interest and are no longer commonly used.
