Hotmail says my mailbox is full

Frustrating!

Don't worry, I'm here to help you troubleshoot the issue. Here are some steps to help you free up space in your Hotmail mailbox:

  1. Delete unnecessary emails: Log in to your Hotmail account and start deleting emails you no longer need or want. You can use the "Select all" option to quickly delete multiple emails at once.
  2. Empty the Trash folder: Make sure to empty the Trash folder, as emails in there still count towards your mailbox size. To do this, go to the Trash folder, select all emails, and click "Empty" or "Delete forever".
  3. Check for large attachments: Large attachments can quickly fill up your mailbox. Look for emails with large attachments and either delete them or download the attachments to your computer and then delete the emails.
  4. Unsubscribe from unwanted newsletters: If you receive a lot of unwanted newsletters or promotional emails, consider unsubscribing from them to reduce the amount of email clutter in your inbox.
  5. Use filters to manage emails: Set up filters to automatically sort, forward, or delete emails based on specific criteria, such as sender, subject, or keywords. This can help keep your inbox organized and reduce the amount of emails you need to manually manage.
  6. Check for spam emails: Spam emails can also contribute to a full mailbox. Check your Junk folder and delete any spam emails you find.
  7. Consider upgrading to Outlook: If you're still using Hotmail, you might want to consider upgrading to Outlook, which offers more storage space and advanced email management features.
