Hotmail.messenger.com

A blast from the past!

hotmail.messenger.com was the URL for the classic MSN Messenger service, which was launched in 1999 and was one of the most popular instant messaging platforms in the early 2000s.

MSN Messenger allowed users to send instant messages, share files, and engage in voice and video chats with friends and family. It was a major competitor to other instant messaging services like AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) and Yahoo! Messenger.

In 2013, Microsoft announced that it would be discontinuing MSN Messenger and replacing it with Skype, which it had acquired in 2011. The MSN Messenger service was eventually shut down in 2014.

However, in 2019, Microsoft relaunched the MSN Messenger service as a web-based version called Microsoft Teams, which is a communication and collaboration platform that allows users to chat, make voice and video calls, and share files with others.
