How force outlook to save sent mails on server

By default, Outlook saves sent items on the local computer, not on the server. However, you can configure Outlook to save sent items on the server by following these steps:

Method 1: Using Outlook's built-in settings

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Options" and then select "Mail" from the left-hand menu.
  3. Under "Save Sent Items", select the option "Save sent items on the server".
  4. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Method 2: Using the Exchange Server settings

If you're using Exchange Server, you can configure the server to save sent items by following these steps:

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" menu.
  2. Click on "Account Settings" and then select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select your Exchange account and click on "Change".
  4. Under "More Settings", click on the "Advanced" tab.
  5. Under "Sent Items", select the option "Save sent items on the server".
  6. Click "OK" to save the changes.

Method 3: Using a registry tweak (for Outlook 2010 and later)

If you're using Outlook 2010 or later, you can use a registry tweak to force Outlook to save sent items on the server. Here's how:

  1. Open the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
  2. Navigate to the following key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Preferences
  3. Create a new DWORD value called SaveSentItemsOnServer and set its value to 1.
  4. Close the Registry Editor and restart Outlook.

Note: These methods may not work if your organization has specific policies or restrictions in place. Additionally, saving sent items on the server may increase the size of your mailbox and affect performance.
