How to block an email on mail app

To block an email on the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Block an email from the Inbox

  1. Open the Mail app and go to your Inbox.
  2. Find the email you want to block and swipe left on it.
  3. Tap "Block" from the menu that appears.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the sender by tapping "Block" again.

Method 2: Block an email from the Message

  1. Open the Mail app and go to the Message view.
  2. Find the email you want to block and tap on it to open it.
  3. Tap the "..." icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. Tap "Block [Sender's Name]" from the menu that appears.
  5. Confirm that you want to block the sender by tapping "Block" again.

Method 3: Block an email from the Contacts

  1. Open the Contacts app and find the contact you want to block.
  2. Tap the "Edit" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll down to the "Mail" section and toggle the "Block" switch to the right.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the contact by tapping "Block" again.

Once you've blocked an email, you won't receive any further emails from that sender. You can also unblock an email by going to Settings > Mail > Blocked Contacts and tapping the "Unblock" button next to the blocked contact's name.

Note: Blocking an email only blocks emails from that specific sender, not from any other senders who may be using the same email address or domain.
