How to block e mail addresses in gmail

Blocking email addresses in Gmail is a great way to reduce spam and unwanted emails. Here are the steps to block an email address in Gmail:

  1. Open your Gmail inbox and click on the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Block an email address using the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" page

  1. Log in to your Gmail account and click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner.
  2. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
  5. Enter the email address you want to block in the "From" field.

Method 3: Block an email address using the "Report spam" button

  1. Open your Gmail inbox and click on the email from the sender you want to block.
  2. Click on the "Report spam" button at the top of the email.
  3. Confirm that you want to report the email as spam by clicking "Report spam" in the pop-up window.

Once you block an email address, Gmail will automatically move any future emails from that sender to the "Spam" folder. You can also use the "Block" button to block an entire domain or a specific phrase.

Note: Blocking an email address will not delete any existing emails from that sender, but it will prevent future emails from reaching your inbox.
