How to block emails coming into your outlook mail

There are several ways to block emails from coming into your Outlook mailbox:

Method 1: Using Outlook's built-in Junk Email Filter

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab.
  2. Click on the "Junk" button in the "Move" group.
  3. Select "Junk Email Options" from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the "Junk Email Options" window, click on the "Safe Senders" tab.
  5. Add the sender's email address or domain to the "Safe Senders" list to prevent emails from that sender from being marked as junk.
  6. You can also add specific words or phrases to the "Blocked Senders" list to block emails containing those words or phrases.

Method 2: Using Outlook's Blocked Senders List

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab.
  2. Click on the "Junk" button in the "Move" group.
  3. Select "Junk Email Options" from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the "Junk Email Options" window, click on the "Blocked Senders" tab.
  5. Add the sender's email address or domain to the "Blocked Senders" list to block all emails from that sender.

Method 3: Using Outlook's Rules

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "Home" tab.
  2. Click on the "Rules" button in the "Move" group.
  3. Select "Manage Rules & Alerts" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Click on "New Rule" and select "Start from a blank rule".
  5. Choose "Move messages from someone to the specified folder" and click "Next".
  6. Enter the sender's email address or domain and click "OK".
  7. Choose the folder where you want to move the blocked emails and click "Finish".

Method 4: Using Outlook's Transport Rules

  1. Open Outlook and go to the "File" tab.
  2. Click on "Options" and then select "Mail" from the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on "Transport Rules" and then click on "New Rule".
  4. Choose "Block or allow" and then select "Block" as the action.
  5. Enter the sender's email address or domain and click "OK".
  6. Choose the folder where you want to move the blocked emails and click "Finish".

Method 5: Using a Third-Party Spam Filter

  1. Install a third-party spam filter such as SpamAssassin or SpamSieve.
  2. Configure the spam filter to block emails from specific senders or domains.
  3. Set up the spam filter to work with your Outlook account.

Note: These methods may not be foolproof, and some emails may still get through. It's always a good idea to regularly check your Junk Email folder and mark as "Not Junk" any emails that are incorrectly flagged as spam.
