How to block gmail mail to address

There are a few ways to block a specific email address from sending you emails in Gmail:

Method 1: Block an email address using Gmail's built-in feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the email address you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Click on "Create filter."
  7. Select "Block" as the action.
  8. Click on "Create."

Method 2: Block an email address using Gmail's "Report spam" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Open the email from the sender you want to block.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  4. Select "Report spam."
  5. Confirm that you want to report the email as spam.

Method 3: Block an email address using Gmail's "Block sender" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Open the email from the sender you want to block.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  4. Select "Block [sender's email address]."
  5. Confirm that you want to block the sender.

Method 4: Block an email address using Gmail's "Filters" feature with a custom filter

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on "Create a new filter."
  5. Enter the email address you want to block in the "From" field.
  6. Click on "Create filter."
  7. Select "Apply the label" and choose a label (e.g., "Blocked").
  8. Click on "Create."

Note: Blocking an email address will prevent the sender from sending you emails, but it will not delete any existing emails from that sender in your inbox.

Also, keep in mind that if you block an email address, you may not receive important emails from that sender in the future. If you need to unblock an email address, you can do so by going to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab and selecting "Unblock" next to the blocked email address.
