How to block mail in gmail account
Blocking mail in Gmail is a great way to reduce spam and unwanted emails. Here are the steps to block mail in Gmail:
Method 1: Block a specific email address
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Open the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Block [sender's email address]" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to block the sender by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Block a sender's domain
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Open the email from the sender you want to block.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Report spam" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Block [sender's domain]" at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm that you want to block the domain by clicking "Block" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Block a sender's IP address
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Go to the Gmail settings by clicking on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page.
- Click on "Filters and Blocked Addresses" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Create a new filter" at the top of the page.
- Enter the IP address you want to block in the "From" field.
- Click on "Create filter" and then select "Block" from the dropdown menu.
Method 4: Block a sender's email address using the Gmail app
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
